We are currently accepting new patients – no referrals needed.
Acamprosate is believed to restore the brain cells affected by regular, heavy drinking, which cause many people to relapse when they try to quit on their own. This treatment has been used safely and effectively in Canada for a number of years, and had been used before that in Europe, where it remains an effective treatment against alcohol addiction.
Naltrexone differs from Acamprosate in that it is an opiod antagonist, so if you are using opiods such as codeine, morphine, oxycodone, or heroin, legally or illegally, Naltrexone is probably not for you, and you should mention this to our doctors. It is unclear how Naltrexone works, however the way in which it works is by reducing the pleasurable effects of alcohol, making the consumer less dependent, and easier to go without. Studies show that counselling is a big part of Naltrexone treatment.
We provide treatment for substance use such as opioids, alcohol, benzodiazepines, and nicotine.
We offer various treatments and programs suited to your needs. With a trusted team of doctors and staff by your side, we can work together to manage your recovery. Book an appointment and speak with a doctor today to see what treatments and programs you quality for.
